These terms govern your use of Last Hammer. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What Last Hammer is

Last Hammer is a reference tool for looking up realized prices of ancient coins. It compiles records of completed public auction sales and presents them so they can be searched by catalog reference, authority, culture, denomination, mint and grade.

Not an appraisal or valuation

Nothing on this site is an appraisal, valuation, authentication, or financial or investment advice. A realized price records what one example sold for, on one day, in one sale, in a condition described by that auction house. Prices for ancient coins vary enormously with condition, strike, centering, provenance, authentication and the circumstances of the sale. Do not treat any figure here as the value of a coin you own or intend to buy. If you need a valuation, consult a qualified numismatist.

Accuracy

The archive is compiled from third-party records and is provided as is. It contains errors, gaps and inconsistencies. Some fields arrive truncated or abbreviated from their sources, some sales lack a grade or a link, and attributions occasionally disagree between catalogs. We make no warranty that any record is accurate, complete or current, and the archive is only as fresh as its last update, shown in the footer.

Sources and attribution

Sale records derive from publicly published auction results, including those of Classical Numismatic Group and Stack's Bowers. Those houses are the source of the underlying facts and retain all rights in their own catalogs, descriptions and images. Last Hammer is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any auction house. Catalog references (RIC, RSC, Crawford, Sydenham, BMC and others) are the work of their respective authors and publishers.

Links to other sites

Results link to the auction listings they came from. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content or availability, and linking to them is not an endorsement. Links may break as auction houses retire their archives.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

• republish the compiled archive as your own dataset or product, or present it as an authoritative price guide;
• use the site to mislead anyone about the value or authenticity of a coin;
• attempt to disrupt the site or the infrastructure that serves it.

Consulting the archive, quoting individual figures with attribution, and sharing links to searches are all fine and are what the site is for.

Corrections and takedowns

If a record is wrong, or you are a rights holder who wants material removed, write to info@lasthammer.io with enough detail to identify the entry. We will review and correct or remove it where appropriate.

No warranty

The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Last Hammer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on information obtained here — including any amount paid or received for a coin.

Changes

These terms may be revised; the current version always appears on this page with its date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
